Join our dedicated team at Sydney Health & Care Services (SHCS), where we provide high-quality Supported Independent Living (SIL) services to individuals with disabilities. **Role Overview**:
We are seeking compassionate and experienced Residential Care Workers to join our team. In this role, you will provide personalized support to clients with complex needs and behaviors, ensuring their safety, well-being, and independence. This position requires flexibility, as it may include sleepover shifts and working with multiple clients with diverse needs.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide high-quality care and support to clients in a Supported Independent Living environment.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Implement and follow care plans tailored to each client’s needs and preferences.
- Support clients with complex behaviors, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently.
- Foster a positive and respectful relationship with clients, their families, and other stakeholders.
- Document and report on client progress and any incidents as required.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, or equivalent.
- Experience working with clients with complex behaviors and needs.
- Strong understanding of manual handling techniques.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including potential sleepover shifts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A caring, compassionate, and patient demeanor.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transport.
- National Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).

**Desirable**:

- Experience in a Supported Independent Living setting.
- Experience working with complex needs and behaviors.
- Additional relevant qualifications or training in disability support.

Pay: $42.28 per hour

**Experience**:

- Residential Care: 1 year (preferred)
- Personal Care: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
