We are seeking an **AN-ACC Specialist** to join our Residential Operations team. Reporting to the Aged Care Navigation Team Manager, this position is based at our Pier Street office and includes a company vehicle for travel to our sites.
- Work Monday - Friday, 38 hours per week
- Training and education will be provided on the Australian National Aged Care Classification (AN-ACC)
**About the role**
The AN-ACC (Australian National Aged Care Classification) Specialist will provide support to Residential facilities to optimise revenue through government subsidies. Duties will include:
- Liaise with Facility Managers to ensure there is effective and consistent monitoring and optimisation of AN-ACC subsidies
- Provide consultation and advice to Facility Managers on issues related to subsidy administration and revenue optimisation
- Review new residents’ assessments and care plans for upcoming external AN-ACC assessments to ensure all documentation accurately represents the residents care needs
- Review assessments and care plans of residents with changing care needs or admission to hospital that no longer reflect their current AN-ACC classification
- Promote compliance to Aged Care act including reviewing and recommending changes to systems and processes associated with legislative changes
**About you**:
You are a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and bring a strong clinical background and skills in palliative care, dementia care and/or post-acute care within an aged care (residential) environment. You can relate to a large and diverse range of stakeholders and have:
- Knowledge of Nursing assessment Process, including assessments and working within policies and guidelines
- Strong relationship building and networking skills to promote and provide information sharing and learning in a team environment
- Proven skills in analysis, problem solving, negotiation and critical thinking
- Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision, and Values of The Bethanie Group Inc
- Willing to obtain required vaccinations - COVID 19 (minimum of 3 doses) and annual flu vaccination
