**Position Overview**

The Retail Store Manager at IGA Sunshine West Supermarket is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the supermarket to ensure efficient inventory management, high customer satisfaction, and effective team leadership. This role involves strategic planning, driving sales growth, maintaining financial controls, and ensuring compliance with safety standards to support the overall success of the supermarket.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Determine the optimal product mix and stock levels to meet customer demand and maximize sales.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee stock replenishment and rotation.
- Ensure the availability of fresh and high-quality products across all departments.
- Develop and implement purchasing and marketing strategies to drive store growth.
- Set competitive pricing and execute promotional campaigns to boost sales.
- Promote store products through effective advertising and in-store displays.
- Ensure high standards of customer service, resolving customer inquiries and issues promptly.
- Train staff to provide knowledgeable product recommendations and efficient checkout service.
- Oversee budgeting, cost control, and financial planning for the supermarket.
- Monitor financial performance, including sales, margins, and expenses.
- Implement measures to improve profitability and reduce operational costs.
- Recruit, train, and supervise supermarket staff, ensuring adequate staffing levels.
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for customers and staff.
- Comply with food safety and quality standards, including proper handling and storage.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- At least Advanced Diploma in Business or Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in retail management, preferably within the supermarket industry.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Solid understanding of financial management and budgeting.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.

**Performance Indicators**:

- Achievement of sales and profitability targets.
- Effective inventory management and stock turnover.
- High customer satisfaction and retention rates.
- Compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Staff productivity and engagement levels.

Pay: $76,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
