**About the Opportunity**
The NSW Government has committed to increase the number of apprenticeships and Traineeships across the NSW public sector. In line with this, NSW Health Pathology are offering an excellent opportunity to gain on the job experience and a nationally recognised qualification.

The Traineeship will provide on the job training and support attendance at TAFE working towards gaining a Certificate III in Pathology Collections or Laboratory Skills. It is anticipated that the Traineeship will commence in early February 2025.

Opportunities are available within the Pathology Collections Department at the following hospitals;
- Concord Hospital

Opportunities are available within the Laboratory at;
- Blacktown & Mount Druitt Hospital
- Forensic & Analytical Science Service (FASS), Lidcombe
- Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Camperdown
- Ryde Hospital

**What you'll be doing**

Perform a range of laboratory support and/or specimen reception services and/or collection services, and provide assistance to laboratory staff, under supervision, to deliver a patient focused service.
- Do you have any pre-existing qualifications related to Pathology or Science? If so, what are your qualifications?

- This traineeship is full time, 5 days a week, is this a commitment you can make?
- Do you have a willingness and desire to undertake on the job training in either Pathology collections, laboratory skills and/or administration
- Do you have a willingness and the ability to attend the Registered Training organisation and work towards obtaining a Certificate III in Pathology Collections/ or Certificate III in Laboratory Skills?
