**Position Information**:
Tuggerah Lakes Secondary College, Tumbi Umbi Campus has an enrolment of 1104 students, with 143 students identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. It is a dynamic and inclusive middle years Campus. We collaborate with nine partner schools to provide high-quality education to the local community from Preschool to Year 12 and beyond.

**Selection Criteria**:
Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria,
- Approval to teach Yr 7 -10 Science while demonstrating exemplary and innovative programming and classroom practice that maximises student learning outcomes and delivering on whole school priorities.
- Demonstrated capacity to lead teachers, through the use of data, to maximise their potential and engagement in the classroom to improve student outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to be a dynamic member of the leadership team and to lead initiatives that address whole school strategic directions and nurture positive relationships across the school community.
- Demonstrated capacity to design and implement high quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs and assessments across all stages, which engage and support students with diverse learning needs, including students who identify as Aboriginal.

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice

2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs

3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams

4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents

5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning

6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies
