**About the role**
We are seeking an experienced **SIL Team Leader **to oversee the daily operations of the SIL home. This role involves leading the day-to-day support to the SIL customer and providing leadership and mentorship to a team of Disability Support Workers dedicated to supporting the customer to meet their goals and NDIS Plan.
- Permanent Fulltime role
- Payrate will range from $38.88 - $39.71 depending on experience
- Lead Mentor and support a team of Disability Support Workers.
- Assist with coordinating and managing staff roster to meet service delivery need
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, families and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive and effective support.
- Support implementation of a Behaviour support plan and Monitor and report on service outcomes, Team performance and customer progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting in compliance with organisational and legislative requirements
- Implement and ensure compliance with NDIS quality standards and organisational policy and procedure in professional manner
- Responding to and following up issues in a timely and professional manner in accordance with Organisational policy
**About you**
- Experience in the provision of support to people with complex needs and challenging behaviours including Mental health and cognitive disability
- Certificate IV in Community Services or higher education
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in providing supervision and direction to staff.
- Knowledge and understanding of the essential principles and function of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Experience in coordinating support with other service providers.
- Experience leading a team in an NDIS supported accommodation is desirable
- Knowledge of safe working practices, hazard detection and OH & S reporting procedures.
