Carer’s Network are in search of an experienced, client specific Mental Health Support Worker to join an already established team of highly motivated, workers. If you have experience working with behaviours of concern, psycho-social disabilities, and complex mental health, and are looking for a challenging and rewarding role, we want to hear from you. Your role will be to provide vital daily living assistance within the client’s home. As well as to enhance community engagement and support with professional appointments.

You will be supporting our client at home, as well as supporting to increase community participation.

Experience in the following is essential:

- Must have a minimum of 2 years in Mental Health, Disability or Home and Community Care.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in working with challenging behaviours and have a strong willed and positive approach when faced with these challenges.
- Deliver high-quality person-centered care to our clients and make sure that their individual needs are met.
- Highly motivated with strong interpersonal, problem solving and great communication skills.

- Cert III in Mental Health, Psychology, social Work or equivalent
- First year psychology student
- NDIS worker screening check
- Current driver’s license and own vehicle
- Covid
- 19 proof of vaccination.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: From $35.90 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift
- Night shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Penalty rates

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
