Experienced Barista / Cafe All-Rounder

Join Our Team at SUM Cafe and Thai Eatery

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Barista / Cafe All-Rounder to join our team at SUM Cafe and Thai Eatery in Ormond. In this role, you’ll be responsible for taking orders using a POS system, crafting high-quality coffee and tea, serving food, and ensuring exceptional customer service. You’ll play an important role in creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

- Greet and engage customers with a friendly, professional attitude
- Accurately take customer orders using the POS system
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages to a high standard
- Deliver food and drinks to tables
- Maintain a clean and organized coffee station and front-of-house area
- Clear tables, wash dishes, and help keep the cafe tidy
- Ensure all equipment and work areas are clean and well-maintained
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of coffee and our food menu
- Prior customer service or barista experience is a plus

What We’re Looking For:

- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role (highly preferred)
- Barista experience or strong coffee-making skills (required)
- Excellent knowledge of coffee brewing and espresso equipment
- Confident communicator with great customer interaction skills
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly and professional demeanor
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Commitment to hygiene, safety, and cleanliness

Schedule:

- Minimum 5 hours per day
- Morning shifts
- Availability on weekdays, weekends, and public holidays
