Dental Prosthetist

**About the role

Deliver clinical dental prosthetic services to eligible stakeholder/clients as a dental prosthetist in a multidisciplinary team in accordance with professional standards and scope of practice, guidelines and work unit procedures.

About you

Deliver routine clinical dental prosthetic services (removable prosthodontics) within a multidisciplinary team in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
Provide competent professional advice and information and liaise effectively with clients and their families, with members of the multidisciplinary team and with other health professionals, internal and external stakeholders to enable efficient and improved dental services.
Provide support to the dental team by clinically fabricating, repairing, and modifying removeable dental prostheses and appliances.
Contribute to the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols that explore the continuum of care critically, engaging cross-discipline referencing where relevant.
Participate in quality and service delivery and improvement activities within specific scope of practice, at the local service delivery area.

The service caters for eligible adults and children who may require either basic dental care or a range of specialist dental care. Clinical services are provided by multidisciplinary dental teams comprised of dentists, dental specialists, oral health and dental therapists, with the support of dental technicians, dental assistants, administrative and ancillary staff.
