**Product Designer (Lighting & Content)**
**Location**: Knoxfield VIC | Full-time | Initial 3-month contract (potential for ongoing)
**About the Role**
We’re looking for a **creative, hands-on Product Designer** who lives and breathes LEGO - and wants to shape how the world sees, builds, and lights their sets. In this role, you'll help design innovative lighting kits using Light My Bricks components, while also playing an active part in creating **content that brings those designs to life**.
As part of our content-first direction, this role blends product design with content creation - from building sets and developing instructions to filming tutorials and capturing behind-the-scenes moments that showcase our design process.
**Who We Are**
Light My Bricks was founded by LEGO lovers, for LEGO lovers. We exist to elevate the LEGO experience through premium lighting kits that enhance every build - transforming sets from play to display.
With a global footprint across Australia, the US, UK, EU, and Canada, we design, build, test, and ship our lighting kits to collectors, creators, and fans worldwide. But we’re still proudly independent, community-driven, and creative at heart - powered by a passionate team in Knoxfield, Victoria.
Our culture is built on positivity, ingenuity, and ownership. If you're a maker, a builder, a problem-solver, and love seeing your work come to life both on-screen and on the shelf - you’ll feel right at home here.
**What You’ll Be Doing**
- **Design LEGO Lighting Kits**: Build LEGO sets and design lighting layouts using Light My Bricks components
- **Create Instructional Guides**: Use Bricklink Studio 2.0 and Keyshot to develop 3D installation instructions (pre
- and post-build)
- **Support Content Creation**: Assist with video tutorials, behind-the-scenes visuals, and build-focused content that showcases our product design
- **Work With Marketing & Content**: Collaborate with the wider team to help align content and visuals with brand campaigns
- **Document Designs**: Help compile high-quality instruction booklets using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop)
- **Problem-Solve & Iterate**: Contribute to improving designs, usability, and installation experience based on feedback
- **Stay Curious**: Help us explore new ways to showcase and improve how our lighting kits are experienced
**What We’re Looking For**
You don’t need to tick every box — but we’d love if you have:
- Strong LEGO knowledge and a passion for the building experience
- Experience using Bricklink Studio 2.0 and Keyshot (or willingness to learn)
- Adobe Creative Suite skills — especially InDesign and Photoshop
- A basic understanding of video or content creation (YouTube, reels, tutorials, etc.)
- A curious, experimental, hands-on approach
- Strong attention to detail and design aesthetics
- An interest in LEGO, collectibles, and the display builder community
**Why Join Us?**
- See your designs turned into real products used by fans around the world
- Collaborate with a fun, passionate team of creatives and LEGO enthusiasts
- Work in a flexible environment with creative tools and support
- Enjoy team lunches, warehouse gym access, and an inspiring maker culture
- Help shape the future of a fast-growing, design-led brand
**Bonus**: Upload your CV and any examples of LEGO builds, design work, or content you’ve created — we’d love to see what you’re passionate about.
