This compay is the global leader in sustainably moving goods, optimizing over 300,000 supply chains throughout the world.

This company does not own any of its trucks or trailers. It is a big network that covers everything in between WA and the Eastern states, but it is all 3PL.

**The Role**

The Logistics Supervisor role is to manage the Metro operations, which includes transport company Primary Connect. The 4 key areas of responsibility for the role are: - Vendor management - managing 3rd party transport providers to hold them accountable - Using the TMS system and ERP system to look at how a carrier is performing - Chain of Responsibility - Safety and safety compliance

**Skills & Experience**

The ideal person will have either worked at a 3PL transport company or managed a 3PL transport contract. It could be someone from a 3PL environment because they know the expectations. If the person comes from 3PL, they need to have either manager a customer, or come from a Transport Manager, Contracts Manager type role. Not someone from an Account Manager or a warehouse background. Those roles are not relevant to the skills required for the Logistics Supervisor role. The role needs someone that can build good relationships and influence. This will allow them to leverage relationships, internally and externally, when something is not going well in order to get a positive outcome.
