A fantastic opportunity exists to join Zurich’s General Insurance team as an SME Development Underwriter.

In this role, you will drive new business opportunities and maintain existing relationships across SME Marine, Commercial Motor & Business portfolios. Partnering with a range of stakeholders, you will enhance financial objectives and proactively deliver Zurich’s value proposition into the market.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Creating and executing strategies for business development of your portfolio to achieve growth targets, operational and financial goals
- Developing strategies to achieve predetermined new business and renewal retention targets in conjunction with underwriting guidelines and delegated authority
- Maintaining high levels of internal and external client contact to generate growth opportunities in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Developing and maintaining a pipeline of business development and leads through identification and connection of new partnerships and the development of new markets

**Important to your success - let's grow together**
- Experience in Underwriting and strong understanding of Broker networks
- Knowledge of Marine, Commercial Motor business, including relevant Legislation and Regulations governing General Insurance products
- Tertiary qualifications, ANZIIF, Insurance certification will be highly regarded
- Ability to deliver risk management decisions and strategies
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Customer centric focus and ability to work in an agile environment.
