As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a passionate and skilled Gardener to join our maintenance team. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the outdoor spaces that are integral to the well-being of our residents, staff, and visitors.

**Position Overview**:
The Gardener is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of communal gardens and outdoor areas at our residential care facilities. This full-time position involves collaboration with the Maintenance Team to ensure that all outdoor spaces are safe, beautiful, and conducive to relaxation and enjoyment.

Key responsibilities include general garden maintenance, overseeing irrigation systems, assisting residents with their outdoor spaces, and implementing seasonal planting strategies. You will also ensure compliance with safety standards and contribute to a culture of teamwork and communication within the maintenance department.

We are looking for an individual who is not only passionate about gardening but also possesses the skills and experience to maintain high standards of presentation and safety.
- Relevant qualification in horticulture, landscaping, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in garden and grounds maintenance, including lawn care and planting.
- Knowledge of safe handling and use of gardening tools, equipment, and chemicals.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with residents and staff.
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks in varying weather conditions.
- Current South Australian C Class unrestricted driver’s license.
- National Criminal Screening Check and Manual Handling Certificate.
- Ability to mentor residents interested in gardening.
- Ability to speak Italian is a plus.

In this role, you will be expected to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team to ensure that outdoor areas are well-maintained and safe for all users. Your dedication to high presentation standards and community engagement will be essential to your success.
