An awesome opportunity had arisen for a Solution Designer (Feature Engineer) to join our Delivery team at ING. You will be playing a key role in the design of interesting and wide-ranging IT solutions at the Feature level, using practices such as Agile and Continuous Delivery across an array of exciting IT projects in the coming year. Join a supportive and dynamic team who are responsible for the design and delivery of innovative products, which are at the forefront of digital banking in Australia, using your vision for the future and seeing that through to production.

Internally, this role is known as a “Feature Engineer” and reports to the Chapter Lead - Feature Engineer.

**What you’ll do***
- Work in an agile environment that’s fluid, high-velocity and inclusive.
- Support senior business managers to make informed complex IT decisions.
- Design high quality, resilient and scalable Feature Solutions that will see us into the future.
- Devise release plans and ensure features are delivered safely into production.
- Work with vendors and offshore partners to align with business outcomes.
- Be part of Global ING Communities, ensuring Australia is aligned.
- Design data models that encapsulate data domains across ING.

**What we’re looking for **
- Experience in IT with at least 3 years in Azure Cloud Data as a Solution Designer.
- Experience in Design Data platform for the Real-Time Event Driven architectural styles of data processing and data serving and ingestion patterns with an eye to usability and performance in cloud.
- Strong understanding of data architecture frameworks e.g., Data mesh, data governance, and data security principles.
- Experience with Python or spark script, data management, data modelling, reporting, and analytics tools.
- Proficiency in Azure Services such as Azure Data Lake Storage 2, Data Factory, Synapse, Azure Data Bricks, ML and Power BI.
- Strong REST architectural principles and design patterns, REST and SOA technologies including Swagger, Open API and JSON Schema
- Microservices Architecture using Kafka messaging or similar.
