**Our Opportunities**

We are looking to recruit two permanent lawyers into our growing and highly successful Melbourne property team. We would like to hear from Associates and Lawyers with 2-5 years PQE with a passion for leasing. Additionally, we have a 12 month fixed term contract role for an Associate or Lawyer for a role combining leasing, conveyancing and general property work.

You will have a passion for property law. Two of the roles will have a focus on leasing work while the 12 month fixed term contract role combines leasing, conveyancing and general property work. These roles are an opportunity to be mentored and trained by our most respected and accomplished Partners and their highly competent teams.

Peter and Max have deep relationships across the real estate industry and their teams look after the full remit of leasing for significant clients including CBA, Abacus, Dexus, Charter Hall, GPT, Lendlease, Pacific, Mirvac, QIC, Stockland, Woolworths and Vicinity Centres.

In these roles, you will be part of a large and supportive team of high performing lawyers and paralegals, with additional support from the legal support team. You will deal directly with our major clients daily to manage your own files.

MinterEllison's Melbourne Real Estate team is led by Partners Peter Mitchell, Max Cameron, Carla Deluca, Anthony Poynton and David Chin and provides comprehensive legal support to major institutional property investors, developers, landlords, tenants, retirement village operators, government agencies, contractors and financiers on all facets of commercial, industrial, retail and residential property including due diligences, acquisitions, disposals, development, leasing and disputes. Our energetic and high profile team is proud to be working on iconic projects shaping the Melbourne landscape now and into the future.

**What you need**
- experience in commercial property law, particularly focusing on landlord and tenant leasing of commercial, retail and industrial real estates
- an understanding of the retail tenancy and / or sale of land legislation
- strong drafting and organisational skills
- ability to follow process
- strong client focus and demonstrated ability to form enduring relationships with peers, clients and industry experts
- keen eye for detail
- ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, sharing files and clients
- desire to help lead and grow a successful and collaborative high volume practice
- interest in continuous process improvement and generating efficiencies through innovation and state of the art technology
- commitment to excellence that matches our own.
