**About the role**

As the Governance and Policy Coordinator you will be responsible for supporting the management and oversight of a wide range of governance requirements for Ipswich City Council’s ICT Branch, including risk, audit, policy, and compliance. You will provide support to the ICT Governance and Policy Lead and ICT Branch management team to ensure a high-level of integrity and transparency in the branch’s reporting, governance, and compliance requirements.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

- Assist with the ongoing development and management of appropriate ICT governance frameworks, supporting policies and procedures, ensuring they are in accordance with Councils’ governance, policies, practices, and strategic direction, along with current industry regulation and legislation
- Assist with building a continuous improvement and quality management culture through the branch’s governance practices, adapting to the evolving needs of the customer, Executive Leadership Team and Council
- Support the maintenance of processes and systems for corporate oversight and management of the branch’s risk, audit and compliance functions ensuring they remain sustainable and relevant

- Possession of graduate or post-graduate qualifications in related discipline OR be pursuing such qualifications OR certifications OR substantial proven experience within the desired areas

This is a permanent, Level 5 role with a salary package commencing at $86,974 - $90,727 plus superannuation of up to 12%.
