Cafe Manager

HOME Specialty Coffee in Kirrawee is on the hunt for an experienced, motivated and passionate Cafe Manager to join our team and oversee the day-to-day operations of our cafe.

We need someone who has a genuine passion for specialty coffee, can be involved with simple kitchen preparation and cooking, excellent customer service, with a strong ability to lead a team and manage inventory.

**Qualifications & experience**
- Minimum 1 year experience in a café management role
- Knowledge of coffee and espresso equipment and preparation techniques
- Knowledge and experience in food preparation
- Strong hospitality knowledge with experience in providing high levels of customer’s service.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines

**Tasks & responsibilities**
- Oversee and perform all aspects of the cafe, including staffing, inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and organised environment
- Ensure staff compliance with the weekly roster and ensure all staff comply with the cafe’s standard of punctuality, presentation and customer service
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and suppliers
- Implement marketing strategies to drive customer traffic and increase revenue through social media
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Maintain provision of efficient service, cleaning of cafe areas and equipment, restocking product, waste storage and disposal, cleaning of dining areas and neat presentation of all customer areas
- Ensure safe handling of cash and perform cash reconciliation on a daily basis from register
- Conduct all opening, operating and closing duties
- Monitor standard of staff presentation and that uniform is worn correctly
- Ability to work during the weekdays, and/or including 1 day on the weekend, no night shifts

**Salary**: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Fixed shift
- Weekend availability
