About the Role

- ** Lead our national construction team delivering Dan Murphy’s and BWS new and refurbished stores**:

- ** Based in Sydney or Melbourne**

As the **Head of Endeavour Build**, you will lead the Group’s national construction team and oversee all aspects of the build process for new and existing retail locations.

In addition, you will have overall responsibility for capital management, project administration and supporting the construction team for hotels.

Here is a taste of what you can expect in this role:

- ** Leadership**: Lead, mentor, and develop the build team, including construction, fit-out, engineering, sustainability, and equipment planning personnel, fostering a high-performance culture.
- ** Strategic Leadership**: Develop and implement strategies for the build function, including fit-out, construction, engineering, sustainability, and equipment planning, aligning with the overall business objectives.
- ** Stakeholder Management**: Liaise with internal stakeholders, as well as external stakeholders such as contractors, landlords, engineering manufacturers, and equipment suppliers.
- ** Feasibility Management**: Oversee the National Construction Feasibility Manager in assessing the build scope & costs and delivery of new store locations, ensuring kit standards are met, managing relationships with developers & builders and supporting the internal property team.
- ** Fit-Out & Construction Management**: Oversee the National Fitout & Construction Team, who scope assess, capital manage and execute the fit-out and internal construction of New and Renewal stores.
- ** Engineering & Sustainability Management**: Oversee the National Engineering & Sustainability Team in developing and implementing engineering strategies, specifications, and sustainability initiatives, including meeting emissions reduction targets.
- ** Equipment Planning Management**: Oversee the Equipment Planning Team in managing supply chain planning, equipment inventory, forecasting, supplier relationships, and equipment quality for all new and existing equipment.
- ** Project Program Management**: Ensure national effective project planning, monitoring project progress, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- ** Contract Management**: Oversee the management of contracts with construction, fit-out, engineering, and equipment suppliers.
- ** Budget Management**: Forecast, develop and manage the build budget, including fit-out, construction, engineering, sustainability, and equipment planning initiatives, ensuring cost control and financial accountability.
- ** Compliance**: Ensure all build activities comply with relevant building codes, regulations, health and safety standards and project requirements.

What do we need from you

**Now let’s talk about you**:

- Significant construction & fitout experience ideally within the retail sector, operating at a national level
- Experience leading a diverse and geographically dispersed team
- Proven experience delivering end to end projects
- Project management experience
- Excellent communicator
- Ability to identify risks in program and build
- Strong stakeholder management and influence
- Qualifications in Construction or Project Management
- Safety driven Ability to translate customer data and insights into meaningful and relevant action
