This role sits in the Intelligent Automation team within Government Shared Services
**About the team**
This newly established team’s purpose is to support the delivery of the strategic roadmap to consolidate and harmonise shared services operations and systems across the NSW public sector.
Involving the consolidation and optimisation of systems and processes across the BPO team, the program will lead to improved operational effectiveness and a better customer and employee experience.
The Automation Support Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day run function of the automation environment to assist with the ongoing assessment of automation opportunities and impacts in conjunction with business stakeholders. The role will work with process and product owners through the governance and change management processes.
**Your day-to-day**
Reporting to Principal Manager, Intelligent Automation - Government Shared Services, your role will:
- Daily scheduling of bots to run the business process automations and monitoring and reporting benefits, utilisation and capacity planning to ensure effective management of the production environment
- Monitoring and managing automation errors from daily production runs to ensure process automations are working as expected and business errors are referred to the relevant teams
- Approve deployment standards and perform post-deployment production verification testing to ensure design and configurations are consistent across multiple delivery squads
- Conduct process automation opportunity assessments to support the update of the demand pipeline
- Document business requirements and user stories to ensure stakeholder expectations and requirements are successfully captured and translated into automation deliverables
- Control the automation Test environment, support validation and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), assist in the development of test scripts, coordinate team efforts and defect resolution to support the successful delivery of the automated processes into production
- Schedules configuration enhancements and system upgrades to ensure automations are up to date and aligned with system builds
- Perform pre-deployment quality checks of release files, coordinate release planning, and perform post-deployment testing and roll backs when required to support the successful implementation of the solution into production
**To be successful in this role you will demonstrate**:
- Previous experience in an automation, process improvement or related field.
- Experience with maintaining and supporting production environments
- Have experience with using UiPath software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrated experience in positive stakeholder engagement and management
- Proven ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality customer support and service
Salary Grade 7/8, with the base salary for this role starting at $106025 base plus superannuation
