**The Role**
This is a full-time role based at the Sonic Healthcare Global Office at Grosvenor Place, in Sydney’s CBD.

The Lead Sustainability Analyst will support Sonic Healthcare’s global sustainability team to develop and continually improve Sonic’s group-wide strategies, policies, programs, and disclosures related to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance.

As a member of a cross-functional team you will compile, process and analyse large volumes of data, with a strong attention to detail and supporting the cross-functional sustainability team to identify, develop and implement global sustainability initiatives, including facilitating their legal and voluntary reporting obligations (annual sustainability report, emissions reporting requirements and other ESG disclosures).

**About you**

Day to day the role will best suit someone who’s able to pivot quickly with changing business needs, is a confident communicator, highly organised and detail orientated, has the flexibility to work across time zones and support a global business sustainability team.

Key responsibilities:

- Assist in the design and implementation of reporting structures, systems and templates for ESG data collection, analysis and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally to obtain and analyse data and support commentary to support their legal and voluntary reporting obligations.
- Perform ongoing data quality assurance, identify and resolve discrepancies/inconsistencies.
- Analyse data to support the planning, implementation and management of emissions, energy and waste reduction initiatives to improve Sonic’s environmental footprint and reduce their greenhouse gas emissions profile.
- Assist in the preparation of business cases that support the delivery of Sonic’s environmental sustainability and other ESG initiatives.
- Develop and monitor KPI’s related to Sonic’s sustainability strategies and projects.
- Provide assistance and guidance on data collection and reporting for various external stakeholders.
- Assist the Financial Reporting team as required.

Required experience
- Previous experience in sustainability analysis and environmental reporting such as SDG's, TCFD, NGERS and SECR.
- Proven ability to process and analyse large volumes of data, with an analytical mindset and strong attention to detail.
- High level of competency using Microsoft Excel in financial analysis, spreadsheet development and data analysis.
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as PowerBI would be advantageous.
- Be a confident, clear communicator as well as possess strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- Able to adapt quickly to shifting priorities and work effectively under pressure with multiple deliverables.
