Quality Coordinator at The Women's
**Ongoing Position**
**Part time 24 hours - 3 days per week**

The Women’s Quality and Safety Unit provides an expert support and advisory service to the staff and services of the Women’s on quality improvement, risk management and patient experience.
We are seeking an enthusiastic person with a passion to continuously improve the quality and safety of care to women and babies. Working as part of a team, you will engage with hospital staff in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.
Position Purpose:
- To promote, facilitate and build capability on quality, risk management and improvement within the clinical service areas based on the agreed organisational frameworks and tools.
- To support the provision of patient focussed risk and improvement services and advice to the assigned clinical service/s.
- To support the creation of exceptional experiences across the organisation
- To develop and review effective incident reporting for all areas.
- To support the implementation of the National Safety and Quality in Healthcare Standards
- To coordinate the development and review of policy, guideline and procedures for clinical service areas.

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a passion for patient safety and quality improvement
- Have experience of the National Safety and Quality in Healthcare Standards
- Have a strong understanding of a systems approach to quality, risk and continuous improvement.
- Have well developed interpersonal skills
- Have a professional and consumer focused approach to health care.

**Influenza Vaccination Requirement**
In line with the Health Services Amendment (Mandatory Vaccination of Healthcare Workers) Act 2020, some health care workers are now required to have their flu vaccination to work in health care. Evidence of vaccination is required.
As this role fits into category A or B of the departments risk ratings, applicants will be required to have been vaccinated against influenza. Evidence of vaccination is required.
