National Account Manager

The role of National Account Manager - Discounters is accountable for the implementation of our trade strategy and execution within the Discounters Channel. This includes managing customer relationships, promotional programs, range management and internal stakeholders to deliver company targets of net sales, gross profit and market share across all categories within the channel.
A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
Managing Discounters P&L by working closely with finance and IBP to ensure key budgeting & supply KPI’s are met.
Drive key metrics such as volume, GSV, Net Sales, Gross Profit and market share to ensure execution of Channel plans are in line with overall company strategy.
Develop Annual Innovation/Rotational calendar for Discounters by engaging with key internal stakeholders and aligning with customer strategy.
Focus on expanding ranging and distribution across the channel
Develop a Joint Business Planning (JBP) process with each customer incorporating all categories to ensure an aligned plan is in place with the customer which delivers against customer & category objectives
Align customer marketing programs to support key brand propositions
We’re Looking for Someone With
This role would suit an experienced Account Manager familiar with the consumer goods industry. You will thrive partnering with customers and stakeholders to ensure strategic outcomes that support growth:
A strong sales background in the consumer-packaged goods industry, specifically in account management
Experience managing a customer P&L is essential
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with your customer group
Able to collaborate cross functionally with ease to develop products or bespoke pack sizes specific to the customer
Results driven you will be a confident negotiator in delivering solutions that work for both parties
Strong eye for detail
