Support Worker/ Caregiver

**We are looking to recruit a team of passionate and highly dedicated Caregivers who will provide 24/7 support to a client who is located in Redcliffe (Moreton Bay region).**

**About the Role**

Our client has Muscular Dystrophy and relies on his team of Caregivers for assistance with ADL's, personal care and community access among other things. Given the client's specific needs and that we are there to provide around-the-clock care, shifts are generally:

- Day: 8am - 3pm (7hrs)
- Evening: 3pm - 10pm (7hrs)
- Night: 10pm - 8am (10hrs)

Of specific focus right now, are English speaking, female caregivers to fill the 'evening' and 'night' shifts (which are active/ awake shifts).

**Responsibilities**
- Provide a premium care experience to our clients that is genuine, compassionate and personalised;
- Assist (e.g. NDIS ‘Standard’) with activities of daily living including personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, transport, and companionship;
- Assist (e.g. NDIS ‘High Intensity’) with medication administration, PEG feeding, oral suctioning, seizure management, managing challenging behaviours and/ or other high care tasks undertaken in accordance with clinical policies and approved DoC framework;
- Deliver care in accordance with the client's care plan that has been developed by a Registered Nurse;
- Meet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly;
- Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly.

**Skills & Experience**
- Passionate about making a difference.
- A self-led leader with the ability to take responsibility for their own behaviour & success.
- Coachable
- Previous caregiving experience is an asset.
- Excellent command of English (i.e. both written and spoken).
- Ability to identify and report client care concerns to management when needed.
- Reliable way to get to and from the client's homes.

**Mandatory Requirements**
- Minimum Certificate III in either: Aged Care, Community, Individual Support or Disability, or relevant industry experience (i.e. equivalent to certificate III)
- National Police Check (Aged Care/ Vulnerable Persons Sector)
- Working With Children Check (e.g. QLD ‘Blue Card’)
- NDIS Worker Screener Clearance (e.g. QLD ‘Yellow Card’)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Completion
- Current CPR and First Aid certificates
- Current Driver’s licence + your own reliable vehicle

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $32.73 - $90.34 per hour
