Our school opened in 2022 and is growing steadily, living up to this ambition. In 2025, the College has Year 7 - 10 student cohorts. We will add a year level every year following. In 2025, the College adds the Year 10 cohort and commences our program planning for senior secondary options to ensure all students have excellent opportunities and outcomes after their schooling.
At Greenvale Secondary College, we focus on supporting individual students wherever they are at in their learning and social development, to ensure our students can feel successful and challenged to be their best. We offer extension and enrichment, as well as interventions and dedicated support for students who need it.

The College has a current student capacity of approximately 1100 students, however we will grow into the capacity steadily as we add each Year Level cohort.
**Selection Criteria**:
**SC1**. Demonstrated understanding of the needs of young people in an educational setting
**SC2**. Sound knowledge and understanding of mandatory reporting procedures, confidentiality and student rights
**SC3**. Knowledge of and experience implementing relevant wellbeing programs.
**SC4**. Ability to engage and build rapport with young people and families
**SC5**. Demonstrated ability in the use of ICT systems with a high level of computer literacy
**SC6**. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with others and contribute to team objectives
**SC7**. Demonstrated organisational and time management skills leading to effective outcomes
**Role**:
The youth worker role works directly with individuals and groups of students to provide direct support or intervention to address barriers to engagement and learning.
It is expected that a person in this position will:
¿ Be an effective and dynamic team member and develop cooperative working relationships
¿ Championing confidentiality, respect, equity, access and inclusion for all
¿ Liaise and consult with the Sub School Team including Assistant Principal, Student Services Manager and Year Level Leaders to best support the students and their families.
¿ Demonstrate high-level communication skills and professional behaviour when interacting with parents, students and colleagues - including listening and speaking skills which result in people being at ease, as well as the ability to communicate effectively in writing
¿ Demonstrate an appreciation and understanding of the learning, motivational and academic needs of students and a proven capacity to work effectively with them and the adults with whom they come into contact, using appropriate problem solving techniques
