The role
As the Technical Consultant, you will develop and implement complex technical solutions and provide expert technical advice whilst ensuring alignment with contemporary Information Management (IM)/Information Communication Technology (ICT) frameworks.

**Your Key Responsibilities include**:

- Installation and configuration of software, hardware and/or equipment, and testing of specific versions of one or more of these products
- Coordinates the build, documentation and implementation technical solutions within best practice IM/ICT design and delivery frameworks
- Support the development, publication, implementation and compliance of project deliverables and related standards and procedures at an enterprise level

Participation in on-call arrangements may be a requirement for this position.

Are you right for this role?

You will have a high level of expertise and experience in the following technology domains:

- Demonstrated ability to develop and promote Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) processes based on the ITIL framework, primarily incident / problem / change / release / configuration management (SFIA Code: ITMG 5, USUP 4; PBMG 5; CHMG 4)
- Demonstrated technical expertise and experience in the following Data Centre domains.
- Management and reporting in Cormant CS channel connectivity system software
- Experience in supervising the installation of quality Enterprise Data Centre infrastructure in a large organisation to agreed standards
- Experience in the build, documentation and implementation technical solutions within best practice IM/ICT design and delivery frameworks for large scale complex organisations (SFIA Skill: DESN: Level 3)
- Experience in the assessment, analysis, development, documentation and implementation planning of complex IM/ICT changes, including the evaluation of risks to the integrity of specific infrastructure components in proposed implementations (SFIA Skill: CHMG: Level 4)
- Demonstrated analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills with experience in the assessment and evaluation of technical requirements within a complex DCT environment
- Effective written communication skills (oral and written) to effectively liaise and consult with stakeholders (NHS: Effective and strategic influencing).
