Children's Health Queensland provides services from key locations in the Brisbane metropolitan area and works with the 15 other hospital and health services as well as NGOs and charity partners in Queensland to deliver an integrated network of healthcare services and support across the state.

**Your Opportunity**:

- For this position, it is a genuine occupational requirement that it be filled by an Aboriginal person, or a Torres Strait Islander person as set out in Section 7 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 for the purposes contained in Section 25 of that Act.

The position of Allied Health Assistant will support the delivery of allied health services across primary, secondary and tertiary level of care within the context of chronic otitis media and its impacts upon Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children. The scope of this position includes pre clinic support (preparation) for audiology, speech pathology and occupational therapy outreach, post clinic data entry, in addition to health promotion, and resource development under Allied Health supervision. This position may require:

- travel to rural and remote communities
- back-fill for other allied health assistant roles in hearing programs across CHQ HHS (e.g. Queensland Hearing Loss Family Support Service).
