MinRes Energy is a vertically integrated Energy Division within Mineral Resources Ltd which provides power and energy solutions to our Mining Services division, it’s clients and to our Min Sites. We are looking towards renewable energy solutions and displacement of diesel power generation by a larger uptake renewables, supported by of our own gas resources using pipelines and trucked LNG.

**About the role**

MinRes Energy is seeking a Power Station Operations Manager to join our growing Division. MinRes Energy have constructed and now operate gas and LNG fuelled power stations across Western Australia to support our operations and those of our clients.

This role will require a dynamic and strategic leader capable of building high performance teams focused on a sustainable long-term future for the assets they operate. Strong communication skills are essential, to work closely with power station operator-maintainers, mine managers and clients at various locations, and to ensure safety is always the first priority.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Ensuring all Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems (HSEMS) and goals are adhered to while meeting the organisation’s policies and standards for HSE Management
- Accountability for the safe, reliable, efficient, and cost-effective operation and maintenance of all site power stations including gas, LNG, and renewable power generation
- Oversight of numerous remote operations teams including full time, casual and sub-contractor team members
- Taking accountability for the operational delivery including planning, performing, and leading of routine and breakdown maintenance activities
- Undertaking project work as required; preparing scopes, estimates and coordinating works as well as ordering materials, arranging plant hire, workforce, or contract utilisation
- Monitoring and ensuring compliance within policy, procedural and legal requirements
- Manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders including customers, suppliers, and engineering support
- Managing the OPEX financial budget and supervising service providers and contractors to ensure work is conducted to an appropriate standard and in a safe manner as required
- Financial responsibility for the operations including budgeting, expenditure tracking and variance analysis

This role will report directly to the General Manager Operations & Development - Energy.

**Necessary skills and qualifications**:

- 5+ years in a similar role
- Excellent communications skills
- Demonstrated exceptional safety leadership and personal safety behaviours
- Self-motivated leader and a team-player
- Appropriate tertiary and/or trade qualification
- Demonstrated expertise in the management and troubleshooting of power generation or equivalent projects
- Strong stakeholder engagement/management skills
- Site travel on a regular basis
