Join our dedicated team at Supported Steps and work closely with individuals who have physical disabilities. You’ll help them live with dignity, independence, and joy in a safe and supportive Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) environment.

**Sleepover Shift Structure & Pay**

Each Sleepover Shift includes:

- **4 hours of active support**:

- **8 hours of sleepover component**

**Pay Per Shift**:
**Weekday Sleepover Shift** (4 hours Active + Sleepover Allowance) = **$258.56 per shift**
**Saturday Sleepover Shift** (4 hours Active + Sleepover Allowance) = **$314.90 per shift**
**Sunday Sleepover Shift** (4 hours Active + Sleepover Allowance) = **$356.24 per shift**
**Public Holiday Sleepover Shift** (4 hours Active + Sleepover Allowance) = **$438.87 per shift**

**Essential Qualifications & Documents**
- CPR & First Aid Certificate (Level 2)
- Valid Driver's Licence
- Working with Children Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module (completed)
- Infection Control Training Certificate
- Australian work rights (citizenship/visa)

**Required Experience & Skills**
- Aged Care, Disability, or Nursing experience (overseas qualifications may be considered)
- Strong skills in personal care: showering, toileting, dressing, hoist transfers, continence care
- Confidence and comfort with all hygiene-related support
- Ability to work independently in 1:1 settings
- Professional, empathetic, and reliable approach to care
- Comfortable supporting clients with high physical and complex care needs
- Applicants living locally will be highly regarded
- Flexible for short, long, and overnight shifts

**Important - Please Read Before Applying**

This role **requires hands-on personal care** for individuals with high physical and complex needs.
We are looking for support workers who:

- Have real experience providing personal care
- Are confident and capable with hygiene-related tasks

**If you are not comfortable with hands-on care, this role may not be suitable.**

**Applicants With High Intensity Support Experience Will Be Highly Considered**
- Complex bowel care
- PEG feeding and management
- Tracheostomy care
- Ventilator support
- Subcutaneous injections
- PRN medication administration
- Severe dysphagia and mealtime management

**Role Overview**

You’ll support a small group of long-term residents (max. 3) in a newly built, fully accessible SDA. Your role includes:

- Personal care and assistance with daily tasks
- Encouraging participation in enjoyable routines and community activities
- Creating a safe, friendly, and respectful home environment
- Working under the direction of an experienced Nurse Manager
- Building long-term relationships with clients who have stable support needs (no behavioural presentations)
