Casual position (Monday - Sunday AM/PM shifts)

Cabrini Elsternwick location

Mon to Sun - Starting shift 6:30AM-14:30PM, P.M shift 15:00PM-20:30PM

How you will make an impact

The Food and Domestic Services team at Cabrini Health assist with the food preparation and cleaning of each our facilities, including our hospitals located at Malvern and Brighton, as well as our health facilities located at Elsternwick. We currently have a casual vacancy available at our Elsternwick Women’s Mental Health site for Food and Domestic Services Assistants to form a valuable part of our team and provide an exceptional level of service. Flexibility is required to work a variety of shift across the week (Mon-Sun, AM/PM).

Key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with menu ordering, preparation and service of all food and beverages to our patients- Cleaning and servicing patient rooms and associated areas- Ensuring all equipment is cleaned and facilities are maintained in a safe and attractive manner- Using all equipment in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to relevant policies, procedures, and protocols- Working with other team members to optimise the safety, care, and overall experience of our patients

You will require the following attributes

To be successful in the role you will have a positive attitude with a focus on providing exceptional service. You will also have the following:
- Food Handlers Certificate (or the willingness to undertake at Cabrini)- Experience in a food service industry or similar service industry of at least 12 months will be highly regarded- Knowledge of culinary and nutritional terminology including diet codes (preferable)- Experience gained in a domestic or commercial cleaning environment- Demonstrate a great work ethic and ability to work as an effective team player- Well developed communication skills including proficiency in written and spoken English- Effective interpersonal skills, combined with the ability to build positive and professional working relationships with patients and colleagues
