**About the role**
Every one of our team contributes to helping make our members’ world better. As a **Regulatory Specialist** in our Risk and Compliance division, you will support the business to identify legislative and regulatory changes relevant to the Group, understand how legislative and regulatory changes impact on their business units and work closely with the risk and compliance teams to support the implementation of changes.
The role supports the broader Regulatory Affairs team in ensuring Group Boards and entities (including QInsure Limited) continually meet their licence and regulatory obligations and that the business is kept up to date with necessary changes to the legislative and regulatory environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Monitor emerging legislative and regulatory changes and support the business to manage change in accordance with regulatory change frameworks
- Maintain the GRC system in respect to legislative and regulatory changes
- Provide advice on routine regulatory matters to Group business units ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, licence provisions and regulatory obligations
- Support the Head of Regulatory Affairs with complex regulatory or compliance matters identified when supporting business units
- Promote engagement, and a professional and positive working relationship, with internal business units across the Group ensuring a coordinated and collaborative approach to the management of regulatory matters
**About you**
You are an excellent communicator with a passion for risk and compliance and a keen interest and ability to drive change. Furthermore, your skills, experience and qualifications may include the following:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as Business, Commerce or Law
- Sound knowledge of financial services laws and regulations
- Sound understanding of the regulatory and legislative environment and Parliamentary process including policy formation
- Experience in regulatory, compliance or risk management, particularly in relation to superannuation, wealth management and insurance industries
