Seeking a professional and experienced Accounts Officer to join the finance team on the Northern Gold Coast

Our client is a dynamic family owned business with a strong reputation in Australia with an industry background that extends over forty years. Our client is currently seeking a talented and experienced Accounts Assistant to join the team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your accounting skills and contribute to our organisation's financial success.
**Your new role**
The Accounts Officer is responsible for the processing of all accounts receivable and payable transactions and provide support to the Finance Team. You will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Preparing weekly payment runs
- Bank Reconciliation
- Reconciling Debtor Accounts
- Prepare and review financial documents, including invoices, statements, and reports.
- Debt Collection, following up on outstanding unpaid invoices
- Perform bank reconciliation and maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any financial discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, regulations, and procedures.
- Other general office duties
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be considered for this role, you will have prior experience in Accounts Receivable and Payable processing is required. Knowledge in the following areas is key:
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team
