**Anglicare** Southern Queensland supports a variety of initiatives aimed at helping children and young people, who are not able to live with their own family, the opportunity to live in a safe nurturing family environment.

Due to a long standing staff member taking some well-earned extended leave, we are looking for someone to join our Foster and Kinship Team for 12 months full-time fixed term contract in the Case Manager/Practitioner role.

We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills and abilities to complete the following:
Recruitment
- Respond to enquiry’s from community members interested in foster care & supporting them through the process of becoming a foster carer
- Complete initial interviews with EOI’s - framework for assessing risk required
- Organisation and facilitation of training - experience preferred
- Case noting and administration - requires strong organisational & time management skills
- Networking / liaising with Anglicare’s marketing department / external assessors / Child Safety
- Quality assurance of assessment documents
- Completing monthly reporting requirements

Intake
- Demonstrated experience in liaising with stakeholders (placement services unit) & carer families to achieve placement matching & suitability
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to manage internal placement requests / carer availability
- Placement matching of available foster carers vs children requiring placements
- Use of Child Safety’s UNIFY child referral system to respond to all referrals - experience preferred

**Additionally you will require**:

- Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Social or Behavioural Sciences or similar field
- Previous experience working with Carers including training, recruitment, and onboarding of new carers.
- Demonstrated experience in assessing complex and extreme needs of children & developing and implementing individualised care plans, including in-home support
- An understanding and knowledge of child protection (Children Protection Act)
- Demonstrated experience in training and facilitation of support groups
- Ability to operate within child-centred frameworks within a family-focused network.
- Completion of complex documentation on time and within required guidelines
- Current Blue Card (Working with Children) or willingness to obtain
- Current Licensed Care Service (LCS)
- Current Queensland Drivers Licence
- Current COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate
