We are seeking a diploma room leader for a brand new centre opening in the Croydon Park area which caters for children from the ages of 0 - 6 years old.

The Centre is part of a small family owned chain of 3 centres, committed to providing a happy, safe, fun, educational environment for your child to learn and grow.

**About the position**

We are seeking an experienced Diploma qualified educator to lead our warm and caring preschool team.

The role would suit a warm, kind and energetic educator who enjoys working collaboratively with toddler aged children as they unfold and thrive as curious learners. You will have knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and experience documenting children's learning.

This is a full time position working Monday to Friday on rotating shifts between 8am and 6pm.

As a room leader you will be skilled in building strong relationships with families and be confident in sharing information on a daily basis. You will understand the importance of collaborative relationships with children, work respectfully as a team member, have well rounded communication skills and be committed to going above and beyond with curiosity and an openness to learning.

**Skills / qualifications / experience**
- Diploma in Children's Services
- Experience in leading a room
- Approved first aid qualification; anaphylaxis and emergency asthma management certificates
- Working with Children Check clearance
- Child Protection Qualification
- A flexible, mature and friendly team player who is a confident communicator verbal and written.
- Understanding of child protection responsibilities as a mandatory reporter and child safe principles
- Commitment to a safe work environment
- Working and contributing to a team
- Skill and confidence in documenting children learning
- Knowledge of key educator and respectful care practices (desirable)
- COVID-19 vaccinated

**Salary**: $26.00 - $38.00 per hour
