Viva Music Academy is seeking accomplished and professional string teachers to join our teaching team. We are a high-performing studio with over 100 students and are looking for educators who will uphold our standards of excellence and professionalism, and grow with us long-term.

This role is ideal for teachers who are confident in both individual and group teaching, and who are passionate about building and leading a vibrant strings program.

**Requirements**:

- AMEB or ABRSM teaching experience
- AMusA or LMusA qualification (minimum)
- Bachelor of Music or equivalent from a recognised university (Sydney Conservatorium graduates highly regarded)
- Australian citizen or permanent resident
- Experience teaching violin, viola, or cello to students of all ages and levels
- Experience leading and rehearsing string ensembles or group orchestra programs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students and parents
- Punctual, organised, and dependable — consistently arrive 15 mins early and prepared
- Professional dress code suitable for a studio teaching environment
- Available weekday afternoons (from 3pm) or weekend block shifts
- Committed to a long-term role contributing to the growth of the studio

**Responsibilities**:

- Teach private and small-group string lessons
- Direct and rehearse beginner/intermediate string ensembles
- Prepare students for AMEB/ABRSM exams, concerts, and eisteddfods
- Assist with the organisation and running of student concerts and events
- Submit one short (15-30 second) lesson clip per week to showcase student progress for Viva’s social media
- Communicate effectively with parents and admin staff regarding student progress

- Do you have experience preparing students for AMEB/ABRSM/Suzuki exams?
