**About the Role**
John Holland have recently been awarded an Iconic large water infrastructure project based in South-West Melbourne. We’re currently in the design and planning phase and are looking to engage with an experienced **Social Inclusion Advisor **play a key role in the delivery of this key water infrastructure project. Reporting into the People Lead, you will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of John Holland’s Inclusion and Diversity strategy for the project, providing support to projects in the delivery of client social inclusion obligations, facilitating Indigenous cultural awareness training and assisting in social inclusion targets.
**Responsibilities of the role include**:
- Facilitate cultural awareness training to JHG employees and sub-contractors
- Co-ordinate events and celebrations of cultural significance including NAIDOC week and National Reconciliation Week.
- Responsible for providing an up-to-date diversity and inclusion calendar and implementing all activities associated with the celebration of this
- Assist in the delivery of Inclusion and Diversity Strategy and Reconciliation Action Plan for the Region through stakeholder management and influencing.
- Build relationships with suppliers and organisations that can support our social inclusion procurement requirements
- Assist in the delivery of corporate strategy for Indigenous procurement and social inclusion
- Assist to implement initiatives that will support the project to meet their targets
**To be successful in this key role we are looking for**:
- Working knowledge of Victorian Government Social Inclusion policies i.e. MPSG, Aboriginal Employment Target, Social Procurement Framework
- Experience working with Victorian Aboriginal businesses and/or community groups
- Experience engaging with Social Enterprise or Not for Profit organisations
- Experience working with and/or advocating for disadvantaged cohorts
- Experience creating employment pathways and/or training programs for disadvantaged cohorts
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
