**Your new role**:
**In this role you will**:

- Lead the development and maintenance of Curtin’s emergency management systems, plans and procedures.
- Act as the primary liaison during emergencies, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external emergency services.
- Deliver a comprehensive training and preparedness program, including evacuation drills, scenario-based exercises, and incident response team coordination.
- Provide expert advice and support to senior leaders on emergency and business continuity matters.
- Champion a culture of readiness, compliance and continuous improvement in line with legislation and best practices.

**To be successful in this role, you are a proactive and adaptable professional with**:

- Demonstrated and proven management experience in preparing for emergencies, emergency management and response.
- Ability to communicate at all levels and in large public forums with influence and commitment, together with policy, procedure and report writing skills.
- Comfortable with developing and maintaining significant business relationships and representing Curtin in key meetings and forums with external stakeholders.
- Advanced computer skills in the Microsoft suite of products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
- Desirable Criteria:_
- Experience in administering budgets.
- Previous experience in working in a large multi-disciplined organisational environment.

**Role Requirements**:

- As this is a continuing role, you must have permanent working rights in Australia to be considered. Visa sponsorship and/or relocation will not be considered.
- Willing to undertake a National Police Clearance, and background, integrity, and reference checks to Curtin’s satisfaction.
