Aquarium Maintenance Technician

About the role:
We are looking for an Aquarium, pond and reptile maintenance technician, to service a range of tanks all across Melbourne.
The successful applicant would be working with the business owner for an initial period so full training can be provided. After this initial period, they will need to be out on the road, working independently.
If you have a passion or an interest in fresh-water fish and reptiles, this may be the perfect role for you
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular routine aquarium, reptile and pond maintenance, to ensure the health and vitality of our customers' tanks and animals.
- Monitor and adjust water parameters to maintain optimal conditions.
- Execute regular equipment checks and troubleshoot issues, to guarantee seamless operation.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and implement innovative displays.
**Requirements**:
- Handling fish, amphibians and reptiles.
- Valid driver's license and own vehicle.
- Must be physically fit enough to lift heavy objects within safety guidelines.
- Previous experience working in aquarium industry is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Experience working with fish and reptiles will be beneficial, but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and smart presentation.
- Excellent time-management skills.

**Job Types**: Subcontract, Casual
**Salary**: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 - 24 per week
