**The Role**:
This Part Time Merchandise/Category Assistant position (4 days per week) will support a GPC Asia Pacific Merchandise/Category Team in the growth and profitability of that category. The role will have a strong focus on marketing activities, administrative processes, and data analytics. With home base at our Rowville Support Office, you'll also enjoy the flexibility of working some days from home.

**Duties include**:

- Support all members of the category team
- Assist with loading of images and catalogue layouts
- General marketing support
- Administer processes relating to the category
- Manage product data related activities including vendor cost changes, clearance excess reporting, product data and pricing maintenance
- Assist with retail and trade promotional builds and ensure deadlines are met
- Assist with event and promotional planning
- Data base management
- Compile weekly reporting

**About You**:

- Available four days per week
- Rowville location suitable, and home office set up available
- Previous administration experience
- Familiar with marketing principles or exposure to retail/trade marketing (not essential)
- Well-developed excel skills
- Retail experience desirable
- Strong organisational skills and able to juggle a number of constantly changing priorities
- Good attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Able to work effectively without close supervision, with a flexible approach
- Studies in marketing/merchandise an advantage
