**About the Role**

The City of Ryde is seeking a person experienced in Workers' Compensation claims management, injury management and related return to work processes to join our People and Culture Team. This is a high profile, stand-alone position within Council and plays a key role in managing the people and business issues that are associated with workplace injuries and workers' compensation claims.

You will be the primary liaison point between Council and its Workers' Compensation insurer and your experience will enable you to take the lead in ensuring best practice claims management and return to work processes are followed. To achieve your outcomes in managing your portfolio of claims, you will have the people skills to quickly build strong relationships with line managers and staff. Your overall knowledge and experience will enable you to make a significant contribution to our claims management and injury management practices.

Your commencing annual salary will range from **$88,129.26 to $114,568.04 + Superannuation **dependent on your experience and qualifications.

**Key Requirements**
- Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety, Workers’ Compensation management, Human Resources or similar qualification
- Completed Return to Work Coordinator training
- Proven experience in a workers’ compensation and / or injury management role, including effective management of significant and litigated claims
- Strong client/customer focus with proven experience facilitating positive rehabilitation programmes and workers’ compensation case management
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build effective working relationships with managers and staff at all levels of the organisation
- Sound written communication skills with experience preparing reports and presentations to management

On a personal level, you will have proven ability to exercise sound judgment when dealing with managers and staff regarding injury management issues and discretion when working with sensitive information.
