**About the Role**
To develop compelling travel itineraries that position South Australia as a ‘must-visit’ destination that generates favourable publicity about South Australia and enhances the product knowledge and motivation of the travel trade in selling South Australian tourism product. The position will also work with local tourism operators to educate them on the value of participating in the SATC’s famils program, and in turn negotiate best possible rates from operators. This position will primarily work on the Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE26) Famil Program.
We have 2 Famil Coordinator roles available. Both offered as 12-month non-executive contracts at a remuneration level of ASO4.
**Key Responsibilities of the Role**
- Providing itinerary suggestions to SATC staff as required for trade familiarisations (famils).
- Designing and co-ordinating itineraries for visiting all travel trade, media (ATE26 only) and VIP’s that meet the specific needs of the visitor as stated by managers from the SATC’s various global teams.
- Negotiating appropriate rates for tourism experiences within South Australia in order to maximise the cost benefit of each famil visit.
- Conduct site visits to maintain appropriate product knowledge.
- Help develop awareness of ATE26 Famil Program details through the trade website
- Working with the Trade Events, Famils & Projects team to ensure the Trade Website with ATE26 Famil information is regularly updated.
