This is an exciting opportunity for a Treasury Analyst to join AGL’s Front Office during an important transition phase. Based in Sydney, you will join a small team of 3 and perform an all rounder role with the main focused on Treasury Management System (TMS) transition project. You will be involved with all aspects of Front Office responsibilities and with over 3.5 billion of debt there are plenty of opportunities to learn and develop.
What you’ll be doing:
Reporting to the Treasurer, you will:
- Assist with Treasury Management System (TMS) tender and implementation process
- Facilitating workshops, taking minutes, consolidating feedback across stakeholders.
- Liaise with BUs and review process by proactively identifying and implementing measures that increase efficiencies and address control gaps through the system upgrade
- Data testing and building reports
- Support Cash Flow Analyst with managing daily reconciliation and liquidity forecasting process for Treasury, including determining appropriate funding from available debt facilities for optimisation of liquidity and financing cost
- Gain a deep understanding of business drivers in order to anticipate and support timely, relevant analysis of cash flow movements and forecast and assist with achieving continual improvement of cash flow forecasting
- Develop and maintain cashflow variance reports
- Ensure all audit and other reporting and regulatory obligation requirements are dealt with in a timely manner; work with internal audit and external auditors with reviewing treasury activities.
- Assist with BU related treasury enquires; update and distribute monthly FX rates
- Arrange drawdown notices and manage USPP notes
- Review and execution of bank guarantees; perform bank guarantee monthly reconciliation
- Assist with financing activities and execution of funding transactions across multiple funding sources including debt capital markets and bank market
- Assist with execution of FX deals
About You
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Proven experience in a similar role within a corporate, energy or professional accounting services firm preferred
- Exposure to and experience with liquidity management and/or cash flow
- Sound analytic and problem-solving skills including sound quantitative skills such as financial spreadsheet and/or modelling
- Proven skills with information systems, dashboards, reporting and monitoring performance
- Experience using treasury management system advantageous
- Strong financial and business acumen
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage competing work priorities in complex and fast paced work environment
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance or Accounting
- Accounting profession accreditation is an advantage but not essential
