Database Administrator

**How will I help?**

You will be responsible for providing expert services in relation to implementing, managing, operating and supporting high performance technology infrastructure, development, design and operations for the Westpac Group.

Your role will include:

- Ensure highest possible uptime and availability of the bank's IMS databases.
- Provide advice and recommendations on technical and support issues.
- Troubleshooting.
- Capacity planning.
- Performance tuning.
- Critical event monitoring.
- Database backups, restores and migrations.
- Document, test and implement database schema changes.

**What do I need?**
- Working knowledge of IMS systems and procedures.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with IMS and/or z/OS Operating systems.
- Experience in problem resolution and general day to day database administration activities.
- Experience in out of hours on-call production support.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the IT industry.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a database administrator or equivalent group DBA role.
