Head of Finance, Cib

**How will I help?**

We have an exciting leadership opportunity within Westpac Institutional Bank’s Finance team. This role will lead and deliver the financial objectives of the CIB & GTS (Corporate and Institutional Banking and Global Transaction Services) businesses in partnership with the LOB Managing Directors (MD). This role monitors all aspects of financial control and performance for the LOB to ensure business management and statutory responsibilities are met.

As a key member of WIB Finance leadership team and as a leader of leaders, you will be responsible for delivering the WIB Finance strategy, leading team culture, developing talent, ensuring WIB Finance is a high performing and value adding function.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

- Drive the production of timely, accurate and insightful reports for the CIB & GTS LOBs that clearly align financial performance results against forecast, highlighting risks and opportunities enabling them to make optimal decisions in accordance with applicable legal, accounting and regulatory requirements.
- Support the CIB & GTS LOB’s by building strong working relationships with the LOB MD’s, their business leads and other business stakeholders.
- Facilitate continuous improvement through re-engineering initiatives and problem resolution.
- Drive the productivity agenda across CIB and GTS LOB.
- Preparing business cases and engaging in commercial negotiations to ensure all financial consideration is appropriately reflected and business case assumptions are aligned.
- Drive the discussion and resolution of risks and opportunities across CIB & GTS businesses.
- Manage day to day operations of processes within CIB & GTS value chains to ensure process operational outcomes, productivity targets and reduction in cost to serve are aligned to risk appetite and comply with all relevant obligations.

**What do I need?**

We are looking for an experienced Head of Finance, ideally with experience within Institutional banking. You will have a strong understand of balance sheet, profit and loss drivers and performance metrics.

You will be driven to deliver the best possible results for the businesses you support, and you will demonstrate determination, resilience, resourcefulness and a sense of purpose.

You will possess excellent professional and commercial judgement and you will be an agent for change. This role will see you interacting directly with GM and Executive level stakeholders, therefore, your stakeholder engagement skills will be key to your success.
