About the role
The purpose of this role is to provide efficient and effective operational support services to Physiotherapy staff at Ipswich Hospital by providing practical support and assistance for patient care.

**The key responsibilities include**:

- Provide therapeutic activities for patients under the direction of Physiotherapy staff including the provision of mobility assistance, activities of daily living and functional retraining and other assistance as identified part of the individual care plan.
- Possess knowledge of or ability to acquire knowledge of the function and correct use and maintenance of therapy equipment, manual and patient handling skills.
- Participate in patient assessment under guidance of treating Physiotherapist/s.

About you
- Ability to assist allied health professionals in management of patients and undertake operational and administrative tasks relevant to the position.
- Ability to prioritise work commitments including the effective and efficient planning and organisation of workload.
- Demonstrated communication skills to work effectively in multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Ability to work independently under direction and within the limitations of a defined role including the ability to assume responsibility for the assigned workload.

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- Vaccinated against COVID-19 as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO.12/21and the Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
