**MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Making on site preparations such as; erecting scaffolding and ladders, and placing drop sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint splattering.
- Cleaning surfaces prior to layering paint such as removing old paint, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces.
- Painting internal and external surfaces in residential, commercial and other industrial buildings.
- Selecting and preparing paints according to required colour, thickness, level of opacity, finish, texture, and sheen
- Using a wide range of techniques and tools including, but not limited to, measuring surfaces, mixing paint, matching paint and using brushes, rollers and spray-guns.
- Maintaining and repairing caulked, grouted, wood and masonry surfaces requiring staining, varnishing and lacquering.
- Maintaining technical equipment for the job and ensuring that they are in working order.
- Ensuring deadlines are met and record all tasks performed.
- Ensuring safe manual handling techniques and safe work habits are practiced.

**QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE**:
Qualifications: Certificate III or IV in Painting.

Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience.

**SKILLS**.
- Proven experience as a painter.
- Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques.
- Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.).
- Good basic math skills.
- Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc.
- Conscientious with great attention to detail.
- White Card holder.

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
