**About the role**
In this leadership position, you will ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the Regional Assessment Service (RAS) and manage a small team of dedicated professionals, who determine individuals eligibility for accessing Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) services.

Key responsibilities include:

- Provide leadership, supervision and support to the Assessment and Review Officers working within the RAS program,
- Promote teamwork and foster exchange of ideas and participation of staff members in problem solving and the development of service improvements.
- Undertake staff recruitment, selection, orientation & training, and facilitate and work with staff to develop annual individual performance plans, and complete RAS training requirements.
- Manage the day to day complexities within the RAS program.
- Prepare reports, submissions and correspondence which relate to confirming RAS activity and funding obligations.
- Membership to the leadership team in Community Care, working with other seniors for a high performing Community Care team

**About you**
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience in an Aged Care Assessment or Regional Assessment team, along with experience leading and managing a team. You will be enjoy liasing with a diverse range of people, not be afraid of a challenge and be supportive and empathetic in nature.

Essential Experience:

- Ability to provide leadership, supervision and support to staff engaged in the provision of community based assessment or care services
- Knowledge of issues relating to older people, and in particular people with dementia and their carers.
- Awareness and support of the philosophies of healthy ageing, promotion of independence, non-intrusive care and general disabilities.
- Knowledge of comprehensive assessment and review practices, preparation of a support/care plan and ability to accurately assess and prioritise the target group.
- Diploma in Aged Care, Community Services or other tertiary qualification in a Human Service field is required or relevant experience.
- My Aged Care Statement of Attainment 2.
- Current Working with Children’s Check
