**About the role**

We are currently recruiting casual disability support worker to join our team to provide quality support to our participant/client in Redland Bay. You are requiring to provide in-home support and community access to our participants, and assists mental health participant living in purpose-built Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes.

The current positions offered are only open to **Female **support workers who meet all criteria.

**Shifts available Mon - Sunday between 8am - 4pm including sleep overs**

**Clients Supports Needs**:

- Understand the needs, goals, and daily activities of Participants.
- Use positive reinforcement and other techniques to support Participants in their daily routines.
- Prompting assistance: personal care, meal preparation and managing appointments
- Physical assistance required with domestic duties and other tasks as required
- Develop meaningful and professional relationships with Participants and families.
- Community access

**Skills and Experience**
- Must have experience with Mental Health and Positive Behaviour Support Plans
- Prompting assistance - personal care and self-medication
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, particularly active listening.
- Ability to perform all physical assistance required with domestic duties and meal preparation.
- Community access, mobility aids and managing appointments
- All other aspects of daily living as per participants NDIS Plan

**Qualifications required;**
- A minimum certificate III, diploma or qualification in disability or relevant area such as aged care, community services, or health.
- Must have a QLD driver's licence and own reliable transport
- Current Paid employee Blue Card (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Current Paid employee Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Experience in managing CPAP and Catheter care
- Current First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain before employment)
- NDIS 'Worker Orientation' module (or willing to obtain before employment)
- COVID 19 Infection Control certificate (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Full Australian working rights
- Smart phone with internet access
- Two current (within the past 2 years) professional references from a supervisor will be required
