The Star Sydney is hiring at Sovereign We are looking for a guest focused Venue Manager to join this VIP team As a leader you will be working closely with the F&B Operations Manager and all team members to deliver the daily operations of Sovereign.
You will also be responsible for creating truly memorable experiences for VIP Members, if you love guest service this is the place for you to shine Among the many service offerings in Sovereign sharing your passion and knowledge with your guests is second to none, as well as arranging VIP events and experiences that wow and excite those in attendance.
Sovereign Room provides an exclusive and unique space for our VIP Members, with uninterrupted views of the iconic Sydney harbour, a sophisticated sunken bar and a fine dining restaurant offering Asian and Western cuisines.
**Day to day what is the role?**
- Managing day-to-day operations of a unique venue offering including coaching and development of all team members
- Planning and executing bespoke events in line with guest experience strategy leveraging supplier partnerships
- Reviewing and analysing the daily operational needs; maintaining beverage, labour, product, and expenses on budget
- Leading and motivating the team to continuously deliver guest experience in line with our service culture

- You will be a proactive and well-rounded leader who can empower and encourage the team to deliver a personalised and professional service to all guests.
- Extensive management experience in high-end restaurants, executive lounges, or bars
- A passion for the hospitality industry
- Confidence to lead a large and diverse team across a 24/7 roster
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail
- You will be hands-on in your operational approach and be passionate about developing your career
