**About us**

Allspec Engineering is a world class ISO9001 Steel Fabricator working with various clients across the resources sector. Executing integrated engineering solutions from our new purpose built Hope Valley facility.

Due to continued growth we are looking to strengthen our workshop team with the introduction of an additional **Fabrication Leading Hand** to the team. Joining Allspec you will be part of an experienced and energetic group of people who work together to deliver quality projects for our clients.

**About the role**

This role will report into and work closely with the Workshop Supervisor to ensure quality project delivery.

We are looking for a trade qualified Boilermaker who is able to supervise and drive the Tradesman and T/A's on the shop floor, as well as mentor and guide our Apprentices and School Based Trainees.

Key duties will include, but not be limited to;
- Working with the Workshop Supervisor to ensure work instructions are clear and resources are available to deliver the project to client requirements.
- Providing support and lead a team of up to 15 staff, to fabricate designated work scopes, resolving fabrication issues and escalating to Supervision when required.
- Leading a safe working culture, ensuring everyone follows OHS regulations and Workshop rules/instructions.
- Guiding and mentoring SBT’s and Apprentices in fabrication activities.
- Checking fabricated items prior to and after welding

**About you**

We are looking for a Leading Hand with experience in the fabrication and welding of Structural Steel, Piping and Plate work. You will also have;
- Boilermaker Trade qualification
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Ability to multitask and plan ahead
- Strong problem solving ability
- Can do attitude
- Ability to adapt to change

**Salary**: From $40.00 per hour
