Our client is part of a global, multinational group of companies linked together by common products and markets included but not limited to electrical industrial products such as motors, rotors & pumps. The branch based in Sydney's Western Suburbs was formed over two decades ago to service local infrastructure, utilities, manufacturing and commercial sector's engineering project requirements.

As a part of their exciting growth strategy, they are currently looking for an experienced Service Manager.

Reporting to the Business Operations Manager, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Strong understanding, focus and commitment to WHSE and Quality requirements of the company and its stakeholders and implement those in the Sales and Services.
- Working collaboratively with other Managers and Directors to achieve the organizational common objectives & goals.
- Ability to develop and maintain a strong partnership culture with clients and other stakeholders.
- Promote and support the image in the Sales & Service of all products marketed by or made available by the company. Wherever possible, a combined package incorporating Motors, Drives and Service is to be promoted.
- Establish a working relationship with suppliers and service groups within their industry.
- Manage and mentor the service team to achieve the organisational strategic goals and objectives.
- Identify, implement, and constantly review innovative measures to improve the efficiency and productivity of the business.
- Effectively manage scheduling and programming to ensure that the service jobs meet WHSEQ, time and budget requirements.
- Efficient planning, recruiting and managing the resource requirements for the workshop.
- Manage multiple small service jobs within their workshop and site concurrently.
- Build and maintain relationships with current and new suppliers and subcontractors.
- Effective handover of jobs and contracts between the sales/services team and assist them in resolving issues raised after the contract.
- Assist the Sales staff by providing technical support related to products and services, and attending meetings with their customers as and when required.
- Servicing the company’s existing client base or new client base to maintain the workload in the workshop by bringing in service jobs in addition to the service jobs by the sales team.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on the status of the service jobs to the management.
- Coordinate the mechanical machine shop activities in conjunction with various project requirements.

To be considered, you must have:

- A high degree of initiative and motivation.
- Relevant Tertiary and/or trade Electrical qualifications.
- Technical experience and a detailed understanding of electrical motors
- Proven attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
- Good organisational skills.
